THE BETTER TRADERS INC. operates The Better Traders Shop at shop.thebettertraders.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information for our merchandise store. Our linked course and subscription sites may use different services and privacy notices.

Information we collect

When you browse, order, create an account or contact us, we and our service providers may collect your name, email address, delivery and billing addresses, telephone number if provided, order and transaction details, account information and communications. Shopify and payment providers process payment details to facilitate purchases. Please do not send payment card information to our support email.

Our store also uses cookies and similar technologies that may collect device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed and shopping activity. Some technologies are necessary for the cart, checkout, security and remembering your privacy choices. Optional analytics and marketing technologies are subject to the consent and opt-out controls described below.

How we use information

We use information to operate the store, process payments, produce and deliver merchandise, provide order updates and support, manage returns, prevent fraud, improve our services and meet legal obligations. If you subscribe to marketing, we may send promotional emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails; essential order and service communications may continue.

Service providers and disclosure

Shopify hosts the store and supports checkout, payment processing, accounts, security and analytics. Printful and its fulfilment and delivery partners receive the order, contact and shipping information needed to produce and deliver merchandise and resolve order issues. We also use service providers for business communications and support.

The installed Printful app includes a pixel for analytics and marketing measurement. Shopify identifies that pixel as requiring marketing and analytics permission and treats the data it collects as data sale for its privacy controls. Where these controls apply, the pixel is subject to your consent and sale/sharing opt-out choices. Shopify Network Intelligence is currently disabled for this store.

Information may also be disclosed when you direct us to do so, where required by law, to protect rights or investigate fraud, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Cookies and your choices

Use the cookie banner or Cookie preferences control to accept, decline or manage optional cookies. Necessary technologies remain active to provide the store and checkout. You can change your choice later. Declining optional cookies does not prevent you from purchasing merchandise.

You can use our Your privacy choices page to opt out of uses covered by Shopify's sale/sharing controls. Applicable browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, are handled through Shopify's privacy tools. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, though blocking necessary cookies may affect the cart or checkout.

Shopify and external websites

For Shopify's own processing and available rights, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. Links to other sites, including our educational services, take you to pages whose privacy practices may differ. Review their notices before providing information.

International processing

Shopify, Printful and other service providers may process or store information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Information processed abroad may be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. We apply the safeguards and contractual arrangements required by applicable law.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no system can guarantee complete security. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain required business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. The applicable period depends on the information and purpose.

Your rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or correct information, obtain a copy, request deletion, withdraw consent, or object to or opt out of certain processing. Some information may need to be retained for legal or transactional reasons. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and will not discriminate against you for exercising protected privacy rights.

You may also contact your relevant privacy authority, including the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as applicable.

Children

This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Changes and contact

We will date updates to this policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required for material changes.
